Relaxing and having Happy Hour at Fidalgo Bay

We started our next holidays by heading south to Annacortes & Fidalgo Bay, Wa. for the weekend. We did a little shopping in the boutiques and antique stores and went to the Farmers Market on Saturday. Sunday, which was Mothers Day, we headed further south to Tulalip Casino. We had a homemade Bouillabaisse with some fresh bread bought from the market, and a nice bottle of Gevurztaminer followed by a little fun in the Casino. The next day we headed east towards Cashmere for the WIT Rally that started Wednesday. We had planned to find somewhere to stay for a couple of nights but not finding anything on the way we arrived early.

We were soon joined by Rick & Christy Burke - WIT western representatives and we enjoyed a great evening having wine & “appies” on the “Patio”.

We spent the next few days enjoying the fun at the rally - Helping out Christy at the WIT store, doing a seminar about Harvest Hosts, taking in a few seminars ourselves, and doing a few “Out-Trips” to a Winery (Me), Golfing (Dale) and Applet & Cotlets factory as well as getting a First Place in the Photo Contest at the craft show!

Sunday we headed out towards home but because none of us wanted the fun to end we stopped in Leavenworth at the KOA just 10 miles up the road to spend a few more fun days with some awesome WIT friends -  Carl & Kelly, Wayne & Maureen, and Allison & Tony of course!

We roamed the town, had lunch together, most went for another golf game - actually everyone but me - I shopped some more! Sadly, Tuesday we all went our separate ways - of course sadly home for us.
