| Jacob Loved all the Hot Rod Cars. |
After limping home from Whidbey Island we took The Navion in to get fixed on Monday. It was a “Turbo Input Shaft Sensor” error - something that only cost $2300 to get fixed!!! It’s a Mercedes you know! It took a few days for the parts to come and then be repaired. However - It has power like you won’t believe now!!! It had this problem since we first bought it and I guess we were lucky that it had happened now when we were so close to home and not ruin some well earned Vacation Time. We picked it up Friday and since Dale had to work and I was itching to hit the road, I took my boys - Dillon, Nicolas and Jacob to Mission Raceway for the weekend. You can dry camp right at the track and watch all the racing going on. We sort of had a good time. It would have been much better if it hadn’t RAINED Friday night and early Saturday morning - the first we’d had in over three months. The racing got cancelled Friday evening and Saturday’s didn’t start until mid-afternoon instead of first thing in the AM. We spent quite a long time doing pretty much nothing while we waited for news of whether it would go on or not. Jacob had a great time walking around with me looking at all the race cars - a seven year olds dream.
However the two teens were bored with no WIFI or cell phone reception and low battery on there gaming “Squares”! Luckily, the clouds cleared, they dried the track and the races started about 2:30PM. A little “Male Bonding”!
