Tuesday Feb.10/15

It's calling us!
We headed into Lake Havasu first thing in the morning and found a McDee’s for Breakfast and WiFi.  We also picked up a few things at the Walmart in the same lot.
Aren't these the same place?!?!?
After that we headed over to the State Park ($30. a night).  FULL! They offered the overflow lot for $20. a night - a gravel lot that was almost full as well. No thanks. Coming in to town we had seen lots of rigs just parked off the road in the middle of nowhere so we decided to head back out and just “Boondock” for nothing! In Arizona you just park in the desert and stay for free.

We stopped to see the London Bridge over Lake Havasu and that’s where we found out from tourist info. that there was a big Fireworks Display the coming weekend and the reason that the place was packed.

Sunning in the middle of nowhere!

Like lots of others!

And even more!

We headed on and saw a place with about 30 or 40 Rigs parked. We stayed one night but the guy beside us ran his generator all night so we headed out in the morning to find a place less busy - we had seen many along the way. We stopped at McDee’s to blog this, check with home, and get our email. We’re going “off the grid” for a few days - check back at the end of the week to see if we survived the rattlesnakes!
Desert Sunset!
