Viva Las Vegas!

Well we’re off to Las Vegas! For Christmas, Santa brought me two Tickets to see Rod Stewart in Las Vegas on Feb. 6/ - conveniently in the middle of Dale’s Vacation time! All I need now is to find someone in Las Vegas to go with me!
Dale got home about 7:15PM on Friday night and I was all packed and ready to roll. He needed to eat first so we watched Friday’s episode of Coronation Street live with commercials. I know - no PVR but we were in a hurry and we HAD to see if Tracy let Carla go over the cliff or if she saved her - we just couldn’t wait three and a half weeks!!!!!
We headed to the border and once again we were first in line. However we had the border guard from you know where - enough questions to let him know our whole life story! He was particularly interested in Henry’s dog food - we had to get it out and he had to read the fine print on every bit of the package. Finally we were through, filled up with Diesel and headed SOUTH on the I-5. We drove right through to Tulalip Casino, parked and went right to sleep - we’re saving our luck for Vegas.

The next morning we were on our way about 8:00 AM. We went right next door to Walmart and stocked up on groceries and “Other Important Things”. We had breakfast at McDee’s and hit the I-5 south once more. No more stops until we got to Portland. We headed over to Camping World to see if there were any tax free deals and Lucky enough there was. We bought a new AC/DC TV/DVD for the bedroom area - say that quickly three times! We also found a stove rack for our Fold’N’Go BBQ on the clearance table - $30. reduced to $6.98!!! Dale installed the TV and I made lunch and once more we were on our way - only a three hour delay but who’s in a hurry? We stopped in a rest area in Eugene, OR. - another free night. We had homemade (brought from home - good thing the border guard didn't ask what we had in there - no ingredient list!) mushroom soup and fresh buns. A little TV in Bed and off for a fresh start in the morning.
