Wednesday, Feb.4/15 - Las Vegas At Last!

Peggy Sue's

A pretty park out back of Peggy Sue's

Henry's face-off with a duck - the duck won!

I didn't know King Kong was prehistoric!

After taking a few photo’s in the daylight and a quick breakfast of Instant Oatmeal, we were on our way once again. We stopped for diesel across the street and then headed up Hwy. 15 and into the Mojave Desert.
In the middle of the Mojave Desert - we were passed
by a pickup full of oranges!

Wind power is no problem out here.

One of the weirdest street names we've seen!

We once again stopped at Camping World on the outskirts of Vegas and this time Dale bought something for a change - LED lights to slide into the awning track on clearance $29.99 from $69.99 - something he’s been wanting for a while. We headed over to the Blue Beacon Truck Wash where we had cold cut sandwiches for lunch that I made while waiting in line - $28 later we were debugged and shiny clean once again. The guys there do a great job for such a reasonable price. Off to Sam’s Town where we checked in around 1:00pm getting our favourite spot #1221 once again. We got set up, had a cocktail, took Henry for a walk, went for a swim (warm pool) and a hot tub. We showered got dressed and headed inside the Casino around 4:30.
A two time winner!!!!
We were walking around checking things out and I saw a Dungeons & Dragons machine (Dillon’s favorite game) so I had to put in a $20. - three spins and I had $80.50. I took the money and RAN! Dale lost his $20. We checked at the members club for any specials and found out we were eligible for 2 for 1 buffet so we decided to eat there instead of making Spaghetti like we were going to do. There was a bit of a lineup so while Dale waited in line I went over to another D&D machine, put in another $20. and in 7 spins I had it up to $96. so once again I took the money and ran!
We had a nice dinner at the buffet - $9.99 with our 2 for 1 coupon and then decided to head back to the Rig. We both threw in another $20. each on the way out but lost it - but overall we are well up on our “FUN” money! Again a spot of TV and off to bed. I woke at 1:00AM and unable to sleep watched a little TV for a couple of hours - “Walk the Line” - story of Johnny Cash - a rerun but still a good movie. I finally fell asleep again.
